Second Australian Soft Robotics Symposium
Hosted by Deakin University
Deakin University Downtown Campus, Melbourne
8th December 2025
Soft robotics is redefining how we design and interact with machines, merging flexibility, adaptability, and human-centered functionality. The Australian Soft Robotics Symposium provides a platform to explore the latest innovations at the intersection of disciplines, including 3D and 4D printing for next-generation materials, biohybrid/ cyborg systems that integrate living and artificial components, and bionic solutions that enhance healthcare and rehabilitation. By showcasing advances in soft actuators, sensors, control systems, and bioinspired design, the symposium highlights how these emerging technologies are converging to create safer, smarter, and more sustainable solutions. Bringing together researchers, students, and industry partners, the event aims to spark collaboration, foster inclusivity, and strengthen Australia’s contribution to the global future of soft robotics and related technologies.
